Choosing the Right Class

Who Would Benefit from a VWS Class?

  1. Anyone with a keen interest in wine
  2. Beginners and those with some wine knowledge
  3. Candidates who are working, or would like to work in the Hotel, Restaurant or Wine Trade
  4. Those interested in entering the Master of Wine education program

For individuals interested in achieving the Masters of Wine, completing all levels of the WSET program, including passing the Intermediate, Advanced and Diploma levels, is the structured path highly recommended by the Institute of Masters of Wine.

Completion of both the Level 2  and Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits enables you to carry the distinction “WSET Certified”, as issued by the UK-based WSET.

Both the WSET program and the Masters of Wine, although highly-respected achievements recognized throughout the world, do not contend to be vocational schools in the United States. These classes are designed for those who have a serious interest in wine, and wish to broaden their knowledge.
