This course is appropriate for those in the wine and spirits trade and consumers with a serious interest in wine who want to significantly broaden their knowledge of wine and spirits. Over the course of eight 2-hour sessions we will cover the major wines and spirits of the world. There will be a one-hour, 50 question multiple choice exam during the ninth session. Each of the eight sessions will include the tasting of 5-6 wines or spirits to illustrate the topics of discussion. Each student will receive a study-pack consisting of the textbook for the course, ‘Wines and Spirits: Looking Behind the Label’, along with its corresponding study guide complete with self-study sample questions and answers and space to record tasting notes. For most there is no need to take an introductory course prior to enrolling in the Level 2 Award. Upon completion of the exam students will be awarded the WSET Level 2 Award in Wine and Spirits.

- $800 registration fee
- Includes 16 hours of instruction, textbooks and study materials, tasting samples and exam.
- You will automatically be enrolled for the exam when you register unless you notify the Vermont Wine School 15 business days prior to the exam that you wish to sit the exam at a later date. Without prior notification you will be charged $150 to sit the exam at a later date.
- Please do not wear scent to the classes as this will interfere with the tastings.
- The course and exam will take place at Vin Bar & Shop, at 126 College Street in downtown Burlington.
